Kevin Spacey’s ‘Richard III,’ Staged by Sam Mendes – Review – NYTimes.com.

Kevin Spacey is an interesting man.  If you get any chance to catch this performance at BAM, or anywhere it might play in the future, do not hesitate.  His performance stands out as riveting.  You see him in the skin of this heinous character, providing an interpretation that must be unique.  You can see him watching and listening to the audience and reacting.  A physical performance also that boggles the mind.  The set and music add to the success to some extent, but I found most of the other characters somewhat rote in their delivery.  Also spotted at BAM, a men’s line longer than the women’s just before the start.  A first for me.
