This just finished at the Music Box, on Southport, Chicago. We caught Biophilic Design and Pool Party. Biophilic design is an approach to architecture that connects the spaces in which we live and work to the natural world outside. Many, many examples provided – Johnson wax building in Kenosha and Falling Water – both Frank Lloyd wright, of course. Contemporary designs like the Finnish Embassy in D.C.
Pool Party traced the history of McCarren Park Pool in Williamsburg, NYC. An immense space used for live music, and now will be returned to its original purpose.
